This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Explore practical ways to use AI as a support tool while starting, running or improving a small business. AI for Entrepreneurs is designed for aspiring founders, solopreneurs, freelancers, small business owners and startup teams who want to turn occasional AI prompts into a structured approach to business planning and everyday work.
The course follows five published sections, starting with AI foundations and safe business use. You will examine where AI can assist with idea validation, market research and early planning. Next, you will explore selecting appropriate AI tools, writing clearer prompts, creating reusable prompt templates and preparing business communications. You will then move into repeatable workflows for documentation, reporting, content planning, productivity and decision support.
Practical business applications include:
- Explore and test an early-stage business idea using AI-assisted research, while checking important findings yourself.
- Prepare structured prompts for business writing, marketing content, outreach and customer communication.
- Organize repeatable workflows for summaries, planning, reports, documentation and follow-up tasks.
- Identify appropriate no-code or low-code automation opportunities and plan how people will review and approve outputs.
- Consider privacy, confidential information, unsupported AI claims, bias and other risks before using an output in a business decision.
- Bring the lessons together in a practical AI adoption roadmap for an entrepreneurial project.
The fourth section introduces automation and advanced use cases, including the planning of tool-assisted business processes. The final section focuses on responsible implementation: data protection, hallucinations, accuracy checks, governance, human review and an action plan. Published course resources include section-level quizzes, summaries, prompt/tool-selection material, a workflow workbook and planning resources.
The learning approach is beginner-accessible and business-focused, rather than a programming or machine-learning development course. No prior AI or coding experience is needed. A computer, internet connection and basic browser skills are sufficient to begin. Some third-party AI tools may have free or paid access options; check their current terms before using them.
Use fictional, anonymized or appropriately authorized information during exercises. Verify facts, calculations and citations, and apply your own judgment to every client-facing or business-critical output. The intended outcome is a more organized, responsible process for applying AI to entrepreneurial research, communication and everyday operations—not a guarantee of revenue, business success or automated decision-making.
